Employer invests in ‘quality’ FIFO lifestyle

A major mineral producer is spending big on top-notch remote worker accommodation.

Hard-working fly-in fly-out employees will enjoy a “home away from home” at Liontown Resources’ Kathleen Valley mine.

The proponent recently commissioned Sirrom Corporation to manage the Dragonfly Village’s dining offerings, site-wide cleaning, larger-sized rooms, onsite café, retail shop, tavern, gym and sports courts.

These facilities are promised to help crew members “unwind and relax” while, at the same time, minimising environmental impacts.

“Sirrom Corporation has committed to sustainably delivering a high quality of dining options and engaging social spaces at our project,” Liontown said in a public statement.

“Its extensive experience and distinctive service offerings … will play a crucial role in enhancing the success of Liontown’s Kathleen Valley operation and life onsite.”

First production is on track to start during mid-2024.
