Heat Trap Solar Recognised at the 2017 Safety and Health Resources Sector Awards

November 14, 2017 Tara

Heat Trap Solar was a winner in the DMIRS 2017 Safety Excellence Awards, winning a Merit Award in the Engineering Category for their innovative chillers for eyewash safety showers.

Excess heat and high risk levels of Legionella bacteria in eyewash safety showers are common on mine sites operating in remote hot environments and the DMIRS Safety Excellence Merit Award is in recognition of Heat Trap’s contribution in developing an affordable solution to the problem.

Besides providing cool bacteria free water the chillers also stop expensive water losses from anti-scald valves and save on labour costs by reducing the need for regular weekly flushing.
