#Job – Corporate Health Safety and Environmental Adviser PERTH

  • Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager (West) and working within a high performing Health and Safety team, you will be primarily be responsible for supporting the ‘win-work’ process, project mobilisation and delivery of safety initiatives across our West Coast operations.

    Key Duties:

    • Assist in the development of documentation and responses for expression of interests and tenders in regards to health, safety and environment
    • Creating and maintaining positive communication and relationships with tendering and functional teams for the purpose of assisting a “one team approach” to winning work
    • Identification of, and responding to, health and safety system gaps to meet client requirements
    • Coordinate and assist project teams with completion of health, safety and environmental   deliverables for an effective contract start-up and mobilisation
    • Offer technical support and coach project teams in ensuring project HSE specific requirements are well understood
    • Collaboratively work with Client representatives to identify and bridge gaps in HSE management systems to meet Project requirements
    • Providing off-site and on-site support, including ad-hoc HSE Advisor relief, to projects as required
    • Identifying health and safety risks and opportunities for the east coast operations
    • Auditing the effective implementation of health and safety requirements on our east coast operations
    • Facilitate risk workshops
    • Assist with the development and implementation of Corporate health and safety programs
    • Providing general health and safety functional support to projects

     

    Selection Criteria

    • Tertiary Qualifications in OHS or related discipline;
    • 5+ years’ experience in a similar or related role;
    • Experience in a mining/construction/contracting business will be highly regarded;
    • Knowledge of health, safety and environment Accreditation Standards;
    • Knowledge of Database Management Systems;
    • Willingness to undertake site travel, as required; and
    • Hold valid Australian Driver’s Licence
