MinEx starts rolling out more NZ regional workshops

May 1, 2018 Tara

More MinEx workshops – designed to help you manage risks in your operation – are now confirmed to run, with some acknowledged support from WorkSafe.

The first is Wednesday 13 June – Palmerston North

Then Thursday 14 June – Waipukurau

Wednesday 27 June – Gisborne

Thursday 28 June – Whakatane.

Please lock in these dates which will all run from 3.00pm – 6.00pm, followed by refreshments and general discussion, venues to be confirmed.

The workshops provide an introduction to Health and Safety Management Systems – what they are, and how to develop one. The elements covered in each workshop are:

  • Risk Management
  • Workplace Inspections
  • Plant
  • Training & Competency
  • Emergency response.

You will be provided with a simple HSMS template with forms to use in your operation.

Please support these workshops. They are designed to give you all the information you need to develop your own management system and improve health and safety in your workplace.

If these first four are well-supported it will reinforce MinEx’s plans to take them to small towns all over the country.
