Residual current device recall

An urgent recall of a residual current device that was old in NSW and Victoria has been issued by the Energy Safety regulator in Victoria.

The Transco Model RCDMCB10S/RCDMCB16S/RCDMCB20S Batch number 201811 marked on product was sold between January 2019 and May 2019.

According to the Energy Safety Regulator, the product does not comply with the relevant mandatory electrical safety standard. The device may not provide circuit protection. The hazards of operation include Risk of electric shock, which can cause serious injury or death.

The ENergy Safety regulator says that businesses should stop using the product immediately and contact Magical Electrical Pty Ltd to arrange to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement.
