Updated guide: Maintenance of competence scheme

September 22, 2017 Tara

The Resources Regulator has updated the Guide to the maintenance of competence scheme for practising certificates that outlines the ongoing learning requirements to hold a practising certificate in the NSW mining industry. The scheme has been developed to keep the knowledge and skills up-to-date of workers that exercise specific statutory functions.

If you currently hold a certificate of competence, you will need to apply for a practicing certificate to exercise specific statutory functions. Practicing certificates are being launched in stages, by type of practicing certificate. To learn more about the maintenance if competence scheme and practicing certificates visit their website.
