World Day for Safety & Health At Work

28 April 2017 celebrates World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This year, the annual international campaign hosted by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), promotes the prevention of accidents and incidents through optimising the collection and use of occupational safety and health data.

ILO has a suite of resources available for industry use including fact sheets, toolboxes, in addition to resources from previous years.

The Department of Mines and Petroleum is committed to working with industry to reduce serious accidents and incidents, and provide tangible support in achieving a positive cultural change.

To support this commitment, the department has compiled a list of resources available to industry which highlight the importance of optimising the collection and use of occupational safety and health data.
