invited to nominate trainer/assessors. Entries close on 3 April 2020. Applications can be found at resourcestraining.org.au/awards. When are the Innovative Skilling Awards announced and presented? The Innovative Skilling Awards Dinner and Presentation will be held as part of our 5th Conference and Exhibition at The Emporium Hotel, South Bank on Monday evening 25 May 2020. The 5th Resources Training Council Conference & Exhibition is on in May, how can industry support this event? Our conference is not only a must attend event for members of the Australian resources training and associated industries, it's a major milestone on our pathway to being recognised by industry, media and government as the national peak and representative body for resources training in Australia. The conference program and registration details are available on our website. I encourage all organisations within our industry to invest in the conference, which will deliver inspiring keynote addresses and concurrent sessions from industry experts leading the way, the interactive workshops will be engaging, and we have created networking opportunities to meet and greet and connect with industry representatives from Australia and abroad, and sharing leading practice. Having been involved in the resources industry for many years, what's your favourite part of the industry? I have been involved in the industry for more years than I care to count but it's 30+ years. The people are definitely my favourite part. Ove those 30+ years I have worked with some very exceptional people who know how to work hard but are fun to be around. OUR CHARITY PARTNER NEEDS YOUR HELP The Resources Training Council are proud to support MATES in Mining charity and the work they do in our industry. MATES in Mining is an initiative of the Australian Mining industry based on the successful MATES in Construction program in the Australian construction industry. To raise much needed funds for our charity, we will be holding a multi-prize raffle at the Resources Training Council's Conference & Exhibition in May 2020, which will be drawn during the conference dinner. If you would like to donate a prize or gift voucher for the multi-raffle, please contact Kerrie Taylor, 0409 611 990.
