lfaTest Pty Ltd. is a fully NATA accredited non-destructive and mechanical testing laboratory and is well resourced with expert engineers and technicians and the latest in testing and inspection equipment. AlfaTest Pty Ltd works in close conjunction with the other companies of the group – AlfaTest CSG Pty Ltd (mechanical testing of polyethylene pipe), Bentech Services Pty Ltd (supply and maintenance of testing and inspection equipment and consumables) and Total Tech Training (training in non-destructive testing techniques, welder training and general engineering training). The group has an enviable network of contacts in the engineering and welding industries and a solid base of repeat clients. The combined activities of the AlfaTest group allow us to offer a comprehensive range of services to our clients and partners. Our non-destructive testing services include: radiography, ultrasonic, eddy current, ACFM, magnetic particle, dye penetrant and visual inspection. Mechanical testing services include: tensile, bend, hardness, impact, load and bolt testing. We have a materials and metallography lab which conducts microscopy, microscopy and chemical analysis of materials as well as undertaking failure analysis and forensic examinations. We pride ourselves on our ability to think 'outside the box' when required to undertake testing on unusual materials or components or for unique situations and circumstances. Resources As well as three NATA accredited laboratories, we have a fully equipped CNC machining centre and workshop and are able to offer many fabrication and engineering services to our customers. We have dedicated training areas for both theoretical and practical learning, including welding bays, workshop area and lecture rooms. All of the equipment used in our labs and workshops is available to trainees (under supervisions) and provides excellent work experience and real world knowledge. The AlfaTest group has a wealth of trained and qualified technicians and engineers who provide expertise and consultancy as required in any capacity. Our non- destructive technicians have AINDT and PCN level 2 and 3 qualifications and a wealth of experience in a wide variety of industry sectors. Our mechanical testing team contains metallurgists and materials engineers as well as lab technicians, welders, welding inspectors, machinists and fabricators.
