PORTABLE POWER SOLUTIONS BEWARE OF IMITATIONS – BUY QUALITY; BUY LIFEGUARD! As more companies tighten their belts and cut cost on work sites, saving lives from electrocution using the correct electrical equipment should still remain a high priority. The electrical industry has been flooded with contract manufacturers, mostly from China, who are eager to copy the designs of successful products and sell them as lower- cost alternatives to leading brands. These products may be cheaper initially but will cost more in the longer term because they don’t have the longevity and sustainability that the Lifeguard system has. Furthermore, these products may be sub-standard and often dangerous. Australia has stringent electrical standards in place to protect the end user and provide a framework for developing safe and reliable products. Uniquely, the Lifeguard System gets a tick in all the boxes of quality, safety and cost efficiency. The entire Lifeguard System is totally recoverable at the end of the project and can be easily reinstalled on the next site. The capital costs for the second, third, fourth projects and so on are reduced remarkably. Depending on work or site environments, Lifeguard Electrical Safety Equipment would have an expected work life of eight to 12 years. Some constructors are currently up to 14 years of use. The Lifeguard System consists of units with multiple three-phase and single-phase outlets all combining for a user friendly plug in system, protected always by residual current devices (RCD) and overload circuit breakers (MCB). The Lifeguard units are weather proof and all enclosures are manufactured from highly resilient polyethylene, GRP (glass- reinforced plastic) for our wall mount units or stainless steel. The polyethylene enclosures ensure that the units are resistant to acid, corrosion, dust and water. Protect you and your assets... Lifeguard saves safe durable The Lifeguard Electrical Safety System range consists of many sizes of power distribution units suitable for a range of applications. Lifeguard also has a range of site lighting and permanent wall mounted RCD protected work stations. The Lifeguard System is distributed solely throughout Australia by Spinefex Pty Ltd. Lifeguard and other safety equipment, can be inspected at www. spinefex.com.au. Lifeguard offers the complete package of quality, safety and cost efficiency. Why use anything else? cost efficient 100 AUSTRALASIAN MINE SAFETY JOURNAL
