Tailor-made courses We can specially tailor courses to suit your requirements. We try to match your needs with current modules and add in extra components as required. These courses include: Module 01 Equipment appreciation and inspection This foundation module is the prerequisite to all Height Safety modules. It covers legislation, risk assessment, work method statements, equipment use, inspection and anchorage. Module 02 Fall Arrest A practical half-day course to complement Module 01 in the safe use of general fall arrest equipment and rescue systems. Module 03 Industrial Climber A practical half day course to compliment Module 01 in the safe use of general fall arrest equipment, used in climbing structures such as communication towers and masts. Cairns Height Safety has its own light aircraft to allow more versatile and effi cient travel to your business. Cairns Height Safety provides "SPANSET AUSTRALIA" nationally accredited courses in Height Safety and Rescue and is in a position to offer this training to the Queensland Mining Industry. How it works The basis of any course is Module 01: Equipment Appreciation and Inspection. This module provides all students with a solid foundation in "Safe Work at Heights". From here the students move onto the practical modules to complete their competency. Module 04 Rooftop Safety / Fall Restraint This practical module is used to train people to safely access roof top areas using restraint methods. This module also covers various temporary anchor systems. Module 05 Rescue from Towers, Masts and Structures This is a practical course that covers the theoretical and practical requirements for the rescue of a fallen or injured colleague. The equipment or techniques used will depend on the requirements of the client. Module 06. Tower and Pole Rescue This course provides the participant with the necessary practical skills required to effectively and safely rescue a suspended or incapacitated worker from a structure such as a tower, pylon or pole. Module 07 Vertical Rescue The vertical rescue course is designed primarily for those people who may be involved in the emergency response rescue of fallen workers from cliffs, structures and towers. This training provides each participant with the practical skills required to effectively and safely rescue a suspended or incapacitated worker in a vertical situation. This is a four-day course. Module 09 Swing Stage Rescue and Emergency Escape This course provides practical training in the set up of independent safety lines for workers off swing stages and the employment of rescue and self rescue techniques should an emergency situation arise.
