Supervisor V8 Powering up your operation Snowden is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Supervisor Version 8 (V8). T he award winning Supervisor software was developed by Snowden to fully support the resource modelling process using geostatistics. It has gained a popular following, not only with Snowden's clients but also with other consultants, becoming the industry benchmark in routine geostatistical modelling software, worldwide. Currently most major mining consultancies throughout the world have installed Supervisor Version 7 (V7) and depend on the software for most of their geostatistical modelling requirements. Why the need to upgrade? Productivity, productivity, productivity! Product development was initially focused on creating a completely new version of the software that would modernise the popular Supervisor V7 with increased speed and the ability to expand its functionality without erasing any of its advantages. Supervisor V8 modules have been built on a new, very powerful and extendable software platform for technical applications. Supervisor V8 offers complete customisation, including templates, which has considerable time saving benefits. This allows the user to automatically create graphs, statistical plots, and other processing components as and when required. The addition of powerful graphing tools to allow the quick and easy statistical analysis of geological data with multiple windows, graph overlaying and new 3D viewer is a significant improvement on Supervisor V7. The new system includes multiple floating windows, overlay and unique table view graphing, ad-hoc graphing with Excel pivot-table like capabilities, ribbon-bar like property access, undo/redo, copy/paste, drag/drop, libraries, etc. Other new innovations such as a correlation application which allows the comparison of scatter plots and correlation coefficients of multiple elements (through a correlation matrix) in seconds, as opposed to a day, and the interactive viewing of Variogram Fans and Variograms give Supervisor V8 an almost unfair advantage in the market today. The significant performance enhancements enable a considerable increase of 20 times in the speed of tasks such as continuity analysis. Snowden has a serious focus on innovation and has invested considerably in its IT research and development. The Company is in the unique position where it can apply considerable industry knowledge to the design and build of such software for its own requirements. The Supervisor software development team has direct access to geologists who can both highlight requirements and test beta versions of the software, and then apply them in similar situations for their clients. The benefit of this being the development of a software tool that has functionality to suit the way geologists work. Snowden aims to build on the present 250 installations of Supervisor V7, over half of which are outside of Australia, and expand on the over 100 companies worldwide who are currently using the version 7. Snowden is an independent mining consulting firm, backed by a resourceful and motivated technology team which has the expertise and experience to develop software for currently unsatisfied requirements. Snowden develops niche technology solutions to support its clients in specific high value areas. While Snowden certainly does not aim to compete with existing software vendors, its software development is aimed at filling the gaps left by the existing software which, where relevant, can also be integrated with their solutions. Snowden is well positioned to respond quickly and effectively to on site demands through a network of worldwide offices, ensuring efficient global solutions delivered locally.
