PROTORC RELEASES PNEUMATIC TORQUE WRENCH ProTorc's early success has been generated on the back of their ability to provide customers with quality products at very competitive prices combined with over 30 years of experience selling high pressure hydraulic tooling in Australia. att Lloyd, ProTorc Product Manager says that "we have been really pleased at the progress of our ProTorc hydraulic torque wrenches which have been able to further compliment the range of hydraulic tooling and equipment PT Hydraulics offers. Sales of the wrenches have been consistent and we are getting some good feedback from customers who are using our wrenches in the field." For example, Malcolm from Powerlift Hydraulics in Lawnton, Qld has been using the ProTorc hydraulic wrenches in his hire fleet for approximately 12 months and says that "the feedback from his customers has been good, complimenting the weight (balance) and ease of use, particularly commenting on the detachable handle which can screw in to either side of the wrench." Whilst he admitted to being sceptical at first, he is very happy with the competitive pricing without any compromise on quality". Overall Malcolm said that he will be increasing his hire tool fleet to include more ProTorc wrenches. He said that he is both "pleasantly surprised" and "impressed with their durability and performance", with the tools being able to withstand the rigours of many different applications that the hire markets can bring. Following the successful launch of the ProTorc hydraulic torque wrenches in 2014, PT Hydraulics are excited to announce the launch of their new ProTorc pneumatic torque wrench range. The new ProTorc pneumatic torque wrenches have nine different models ranging from 900 NM to over 12000 NM. The wrenches are driven by an Ingersoll Rand (IR) motor, meaning the tools have the backing of a high quality, stable motor giving the customer not only peace of mind, but easy access to spare parts and to a motor that is very easy to service. The larger IR motor also gives the tool a wider range from their minimum torque values to their maximum. They also require less air pressure to achieve results similar to that of their competitors. According to Matt Lloyd the tools will also be capable of operating in underground coal mines. Matt says "the only exposed aluminium on the wrenches is the joining plate between the annulus and the motor; for models requiring underground use we are able to use a material that is fully compliant. This eradicates the requirement for the standard wrenches to be sprayed with any special coating which is common for tools going underground." "They also come with our ProTorc specially heat treated and hardened square drive. Other features of the ProTorc pneumatic wrenches are their slimline reaction arms and the easily accessible forward / reverse buttons." These new products, along with the complete range of hydraulic tools, will be on display at AIMEX 2015 at the Sydney Showgrounds in September, and we welcome you to visit us at stand 4020 in the main hall.
